Tonight I completed my first stamp!

Well tonight I sat down and examined all my new purchases. I have "attempted" my first stamp :) I found doing the skin really difficult and I found it difficult under an artificial light. I will try the second one tomorrow in daylight.

I think I will order some more Promarkers tomorrow as I need some brighter ones.

I think this is going to take loads of practice!

  4. Fabulous colouring, love the colours you have used, and the way you have tried to do some shading on the face - I haven't been brave enough to try that yet. Beautiful image. Well done xxx

  5. It's hard to believe that's your first attempt with Promarkers - it beats mine into a cocked hat! I don't even bother to do mine in artificial light, it's very poor in the room I use so I always do mine in daylight.

If you go to Passion for Promarkers
    here
you can download a chart with the names of the colours on and you can colour in those you have. I find this really handy when I want to match up papers with my PM colours.

They also have weekly workshops where you can pick up lots of advice for colouring.

I've bought some images that were stamped on card that wasn't coated and the PMs tend to run over the edge of the stamped image a bit, so I'm now very careful not to go right up to the edge with those, just do a bit at a time and let it "bleed" out and add a bit more if necessary. The best card is a nice smooth coated card. Craftwork Cards do a nice one but someone on MSE has used some from Rymans and is very pleased with it - so sorry I can't think of her name at present.

  10. You definitely have an eye for colour because that is one pretty Tilda. The skin tones are difficult but there are some brilliant tutorials on youtube that will help you.
